Working day in and day out in Stokesay Court might seem glamorous to many – and in many ways it is. I try to never take for granted the surroundings despite the constant battles to keep the rooms we are using anywhere near a workable temperature or ensure enough light as the autumn turns to winter. However, having awoken yesterday to rain, mist and general November gloom, it was lovely to find ourselves at lunchtime discussing the glorious blaze of autumn colours on view from the office window as we looked out on the Clee Hills. It reminds me how impressive and breathtaking the views from my windows are, and also brings home a sense of how different Stokesay is from many workplaces. That intense autumnal sun reflecting off a myriad of vibrant colours before the leaves go completely peps one up.   It gives a real lift to the spirits, and leaves you less in dread when anticipating the winter to come.
